Omie Trotter Church, age 95, of Demorest went to be with her Lord Sunday, February 7, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter and sons-in-law, Nancy and Denny Archer of Commerce and Condred Cochran of Clarkesville; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Alma Church of Clarkesville, and Mrs. Kathlene Church of Demorest, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband of 76 years, Lewis Church; daughters, Ethelene Barron, Elizabeth Meeks, Sue Cochran; and one son, Billie L. Church.
Mrs. Church retired from Scovill Mfg. Co. She was an active member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for over 50 years. Many will remember the beautiful flowers she and Lewis grew in their yard. She will be missed by family, friends and neighbors.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville. Rev. Russ Barker and Rev. Michael Cochran will officiate with burial to follow the service in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, February 8, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM
